Contract review at reading speed
A desktop contract review workstation that keeps the document, the clause library and the negotiation history on one screen.
Overview
Ironclad is a concept desktop product for in-house legal teams reviewing the same twenty contract types over and over. It is desktop-class deliberately: the documents are long, the comparisons are side by side, and reviewers work offline on flights and in client offices. Clause extraction proposes what it found and where, always next to the source text, and the reviewer accepts or rejects — the tool never edits the document on its own.
A reviewer opens a 60-page agreement in a word processor, a clause playbook in a second window and the last three negotiated versions in a third. Every deviation from standard has to be spotted by eye, and the reason a clause was accepted last time lives in an email nobody can find.
We built a single desktop workspace around the document. Extracted clauses sit beside the paragraph they came from, the playbook position and every previously negotiated variant are one keystroke away, and each decision is recorded against the clause so the next reviewer inherits the reasoning. It runs offline and syncs when a connection returns.
