Overview

About the project

ShopNova is a concept commerce platform for a retailer selling across several unrelated categories — audio, furniture, travel, outdoor — where a single visual template usually collapses under the variety. It covers the full journey: browsing and filtering, the product page, a checkout designed to remove hesitation, and the account area where orders are tracked after the sale. The design leans on generous product framing and restrained typography so the merchandise carries the page rather than the chrome around it.

The challenge

Multi-category retail breaks most storefront templates. A lounge chair and a pair of headphones need different amounts of specification, different imagery proportions and different comparison cues, but they have to sit in the same grid without one looking neglected. Checkout adds a second problem: every additional field measurably increases the chance a full basket is abandoned.

Our solution

We built a catalogue system with a flexible product tile — consistent framing, category-aware metadata — so an eight-item grid reads as one shelf regardless of what is on it. The product page separates the decision-critical information from the reassurance layer, keeping price, variants and availability above everything else. Checkout collapses to three visible steps with delivery choices presented as comparable cards, and the account area reuses the same tile and status language so tracking an order feels continuous with buying it.
